How it all began

Kyle and I are high school sweethearts originally from New Jersey. We spent many days on his grandparents farm and were surrounded by the beauties of the Garden State with lots of farms and agriculture. We know firsthand the hard work of farming so we didn’t take it lightly when we prayed about a mushroom venture. Kyle has always been intrigued by mycology and a good friend of ours blessed us with showing Kyle the inner workings of her mushroom farm. Kyle immediately lit up with excitement about the possibilities of a mushroom farm of our own on our hobby farm. So we went to work with His guidance, strength and patience! I started to pull together all the operational and marketing elements (which when starting a business - it can be daunting!) and our daughters helped us along the way too! We both leaned on each other, leveraging our strengths and I think we make a pretty good team! It’s fun when you are doing something together with the special person in your life!
Mushrooms not only have connected us as a couple but have connected us to so many amazing people. We love sharing not only the culinary aspects of our gourmet mushrooms but the health benefits too. Lion’s Mane is amazing for cognitive health. Oyster mushrooms are rich in nutrients, antioxidants, and some say they promote heart health. King Trumpets help to boost your immune system and reduce inflammation. We also grow Chestnuts, Elm mushrooms, and have a few other varieties in progress on the farm.
And we love to support local! Our farm is in McLendon-Chisholm, Texas and we serve Rockwall, Heath, Fate, Rowlett, and the North Dallas area. We also spend a lot of time in Arkansas and working to branch out into that market too.
