Mushrooms - Growing the future, grounded in wellness
Our story
It all begins with what’s in front of you if you can see it. We believe that people and experiences come into your life for a purpose. Keri has been fortunate to be surrounded by inspiring entrepreneurial women and business professionals, whose mentorship motivated her to start her own small business, drawing on her corporate experience. Meanwhile, Kyle, who grew up on a farm, was already managing their hobby farm, Millbrook Farm, alongside his professional career. In 2021, encouraged by a longtime friend in the mushroom industry, Kyle embarked on an apprenticeship at her farm to immerse himself in the world of mushrooms. With plenty of faith and determination, Millbrook Mushrooms officially broke ground on their farm in Rockwall, TX, in 2022!

What’s Behind the Name, Millbrook?
Kyle grew up in New Jersey dairy farming with his grandparents and great-grandparents. On his grandparents’ farm is a beautiful grist mill built in the 1800s, pictured with Keri and their daughter, Morgan taken nearly 20 years ago. There is a brook that flows beside the mill and Kyle fondly recalls days of playing in the brook on the farm alongside the mill. And the farming heritage continues today with “Millbrook” and our family!
“Mushrooms, nature’s hidden treasures, cultivated with care and embraced by earth’s enchantment, their flavors and mysteries bloom to nourish and delight.”
